Trails to the Stars is a three-day side-by-side adventure. We ride out to a working ranch near Alamo Lake and stay two nights in glamping safari tents, with dinners and breakfasts cooked by our host. Proceeds support the Sonoran Desert Sanctuary, a therapeutic support facility for veterans and others affected by trauma.

That is one vehicle entry: driver and passenger, two nights in a glamping tent for two, meals at the ranch, and two event shirts. Additional passengers are $200 each and share the tent. Tent space is limited, so each ride closes at ten vehicles.
Double-occupancy glamping safari tents, with real bathrooms and hot showers.
Friday and Saturday dinners at the ranch, cooked by our host.
Saturday and Sunday breakfast before the day's ride.
Two Trails to the Stars shirts per entry. Extra adult shirts are $25, children's $21.
Friday's trail lunch, Saturday lunch in Wikieup, and Sunday lunch in Aguila, plus snacks, ice, and fuel.
Grab it in Wickenburg before we roll: Safeway's deli, Copper State Cafe, Filiberto's at the Shell station, or either Maverik.
How we ride
Saturday can run 60 to 70 miles between fuel stops, and some stretches are 80 miles or longer. Bring a secured three-gallon fuel jug if your range is short, a spare tire and belt with the tools to fit them, water and snacks for everyone in your vehicle, and a tarp with bungees in case the weather turns. The full packing list comes with your registration packet.
We set a safe pace that keeps the group on schedule and still leaves time for the scenery.
Leave room to stay out of the dust, and wait at every turn until the driver behind you sees which way you went.
Most riders run race radios on the Weatherman channel unless the group changes frequencies.
Tortoises, snakes, and Gila monsters live out here. Give them room, and never pick up a desert tortoise; it can cost the animal its life.
